THUNDERCATS SUMMER 20-21
Thundercat Racing is a high adrenaline motorsport with explosive wave jumping and tight competitive racing in a tunnel hulled inflatable boat. These inflatable catamarans come in all shapes and sizes from manufacturers such as Aquarius, Gemini, Infanta, and Ceasar. The boats are powered by a two-stroke Yamaha or 50hp Tohatsu outboard motor with a crew of only two people. The driver steers the boat and the co-driver uses his or her body weight to stabalise the craft and obtain optimum speed. This crew of two must work together seamlessly to attack waves and navigate turns sharply. Thundercats are raced in 18 countries around the world and enjoyed by spectators from all walks of life.
WELLINGTON FAMILY SPEEDWAY 2020 SEASON
Wellingtons Ultimate Motorsport venue. With over 50 years of history packed into the dirt oval the Max Motors Wellington Family Speedway is the capitals home of motorsport. Being a club run track the entire venue and its meetings are run by a small team of voulinteers elected from the club members each season. Nestled into the top of the valley north of Upper Hutt the track plays host to some of the best drivers in the country and have been voted Best Speedway Track in New Zealand by the NZ Dirt Track Racing Magazine for 2017/18 and 2018/19.
